Çoğu RE oyunlarından ayıran konu ise bu oyunda bir derinlik olması. Diğer RE oyunlarına göre ana karakter, yan karakterler ve düşmanlar ile bağ kurulabiliyor. Evet Leon ve Chris gibi karakterlerde oldukça önemli ama tek bir oyunda Ethan Winters ile kurulan bağ gibi bir bağ kurulduğunu düşünmüyorum.
